When we think of aging skin, we usually picture wrinkles, sagging, and discoloration on the face. However, skin on virtually any area of the body is prone to aging. That’s where Fractora for the body comes in. Fractora is a fractional rejuvenation and resurfacing treatment that can be used to reduce wrinkles, discoloration, and stretch marks above the knees.
This radiofrequency (RF) treatment can slow the effects of aging on the body and allow men and women to restore their skin’s youthful appearance so they can look and feel their best. Let’s take a closer look at what Fractora is and how it can help you achieve beautiful, healthy, and youthful-looking skin.

How Fractora Works
The Fractora device uses a variety of pins that generate localized heat and small micro-lesion dots to deliver radiofrequency energy to the skin. The heat that the device generates goes deep into the sub-dermal tissue of the skin, promoting collagen production and rejuvenating the appearance of the skin. It can be used to treat fine lines, wrinkles, loose skin, large pores, stretch marks, and/or visible blood vessels on any part of the body above the knees.

What to Expect During a Fractora Consultation
A one-on-one consultation with our trained providers can help prospective patients determine whether or not they are good candidates for Fractora. The consultation will involve an evaluation of the patient’s medical history and a discussion of their aesthetic goals.
Your provider may also examine the patient’s areas of concern to figure out if Fractora is a viable treatment option. If it’s deemed that Fractora for the body is a good option, your provider will go over the details of the treatment and share before and after photos of real patients. Patients are encouraged to ask questions to familiarize themselves with the procedure.
Preparing for Fractora
Before a Fractora treatment, providers may ask the patient to take a pain reliever so that any discomfort can be kept to a minimum during the procedure. In addition, they may suggest that they refrain from topical and exfoliating treatments for five days prior to the treatment.
The Fractora Treatment
During a Fractora treatment, your provider will apply a topical anesthetic to the treatment area to ensure the patient is completely comfortable during the entire procedure. Then, the cutting-edge Fractora handheld device will be applied to the treatment areas and the patient will experience a localized heat.
To ensure optimal comfort, your provider will pass a current of cool air over the skin after the localized heat is delivered. Each Fractora body treatment typically takes one hour to complete. Patients are usually recommended three treatments, spaced one month apart.
Recovering From Fractora

While patients may experience several days of redness and mild swelling after a treatment session, they can resume work and their other daily responsibilities immediately.
